We work with a range of materials including 18mm melamine-faced chipboard, moisture-resistant MDF, and natural wood veneers. Our cabinet bodies use E1 grade boards that meet European environmental standards. For door panels, we offer laminated chipboard, glass (clear, frosted, or tinted), mirrors, and high-gloss acrylic finishes. The sliding mechanisms feature aluminium tracks with steel ball bearings rated for 50,000 cycles.

All materials are sourced from certified suppliers and come with manufacturer warranties. We can provide material samples during consultation to help you choose finishes that match your interior.

Production typically takes 14 to 21 working days from the date we receive your signed design approval and deposit. This timeframe covers cutting, edge banding, drilling, and quality inspection. Installation usually requires 4 to 8 hours depending on wardrobe size and complexity.

For urgent projects, we offer expedited production with a 10-day turnaround for an additional fee. During peak seasons (September through November), standard lead times may extend by 3-5 days. We provide specific delivery dates once your order enters production.

Yes, we provide complimentary design consultation for all projects. Our designer visits your home to measure the space, discuss your storage requirements, and assess any architectural features like sloped ceilings or radiators. We use CAD software to create detailed 3D visualisations showing how the finished wardrobe will look in your room.

The design process includes recommendations for internal layouts based on your clothing and accessory storage needs. We suggest shelf heights, hanging rail positions, drawer quantities, and specialized storage solutions. You receive both technical drawings and photorealistic renders before production begins.

All our wardrobes come with a 24-month warranty covering manufacturing defects and installation quality. This includes warping, delamination, hardware failure, and sliding mechanism issues. The warranty requires that wardrobes are used in normal residential conditions with proper ventilation.

Sliding door tracks and rollers carry a separate 36-month warranty. We offer free service visits during the warranty period for adjustments or minor repairs. The warranty documentation specifies coverage details and maintenance requirements to keep your warranty valid.

We specialise in fitted solutions for challenging spaces including sloped ceilings, alcoves, corners, and rooms with irregular wall angles. Our manufacturing capabilities accommodate wardrobes from 600mm to 6000mm in width and up to 2800mm in height. We can work around existing features like window sills, electrical outlets, and architectural details.

For loft conversions and rooms with angled ceilings, we create custom panels that follow the roof line to maximise storage. Each wardrobe is manufactured to precise measurements taken on site, ensuring a perfect fit even in older properties where walls may not be perfectly straight.

We offer adjustable shelving, full-width hanging rails, pull-out trouser racks, soft-close drawers, shoe racks, tie and belt holders, and pull-down hanging rails for high spaces. Shelves can be positioned at any height in 32mm increments. Drawer systems feature full-extension runners with weight capacities up to 25kg.

Popular additions include LED lighting strips, jewellery trays with velvet lining, pull-out mirrors, and dedicated sections for handbags or luggage. We can incorporate laundry baskets, ironing board holders, and integrated safes. The internal layout is fully customisable based on your specific storage requirements.

Pricing depends on dimensions, materials, and internal fittings. A standard 2400mm wide by 2400mm high wardrobe with two sliding doors and basic internal layout starts from £1,200 including installation. Mid-range options with premium finishes and enhanced storage features range from £1,800 to £3,500. Complex designs with glass doors, integrated lighting, and specialized storage can reach £5,000 or more.

We provide detailed written quotations that itemise all costs including materials, hardware, installation, and any additional features. The quote remains valid for 30 days and includes no hidden charges. Payment terms require a 40% deposit with the balance due upon completion.

We offer removal and disposal services for existing fitted or freestanding wardrobes. This includes disconnecting and removing old units, disposing of materials responsibly through licensed waste carriers, and preparing the space for installation. Basic removal of a standard wardrobe costs £150, with prices varying based on size and complexity.

Our team takes care to protect floors and walls during removal. We can also arrange for reusable wardrobes to be donated to local charities if they're in good condition. Any necessary wall repairs or redecorating after removal can be quoted separately.

This rarely occurs because we take precise measurements before manufacturing and verify dimensions on installation day. If measurements were taken correctly and the space hasn't changed, the wardrobe will fit as designed. Our installation team carries tools to make minor adjustments for wall irregularities.

In the unlikely event of a significant fitting issue due to our measurement error, we manufacture replacement components at no charge. If the space has changed since measurement (due to renovation work or other alterations not communicated to us), modification costs apply. This is why we ask clients to inform us of any planned work before production begins.

We maintain an extensive range of finishes including wood effects, solid colours, and textured surfaces. Our suppliers offer over 200 standard colours and patterns. For exact colour matching to existing furniture, we can order custom finishes from manufacturers, though this may extend lead times by 7-10 days and incur additional costs.

Bring paint swatches, fabric samples, or photos of furniture you want to match during consultation. We provide physical samples of our closest standard matches for comparison. For very specific requirements, we can source bespoke laminates or arrange for spray finishing in any RAL colour.

Regular maintenance involves wiping surfaces with a damp microfibre cloth and vacuuming the bottom track every few months to remove dust and debris. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners that can damage finishes. For mirrored doors, use standard glass cleaner. The sliding mechanism requires no lubrication as it uses sealed bearings.

Check door alignment every 6 months and adjust if needed using the adjustment screws on the rollers. Tighten any loose handles or hinges. Keep the wardrobe interior well-ventilated to prevent moisture buildup. We provide a maintenance guide with every installation showing how to perform these simple tasks.

While our workshop is based in London, we serve customers throughout the Home Counties including Hertfordshire, Essex, Surrey, and Kent. For locations within 50 miles of central London, standard pricing applies. Projects beyond this radius incur additional travel charges calculated at £1.50 per mile from our workshop.

We schedule installations in outlying areas to minimise travel costs, sometimes combining multiple projects in the same region. Remote consultations via video call are available for initial discussions, though we always conduct in-person measurements before manufacturing. Contact us to confirm whether we can service your specific location.

About Nodoka

Crafting bespoke sliding wardrobes for London homes since 2015

Nodoka began as a small workshop in East London, where three furniture makers shared a common goal: to create storage solutions that combine functionality with elegant design. What started with five custom orders has grown into a production facility serving clients across the capital.

We manufacture sliding wardrobes using materials sourced from certified European suppliers. Each unit is built to precise measurements, ensuring it fits the designated space perfectly. Our production process includes computer-aided design, precision cutting equipment, and manual assembly by trained craftspeople.
